A Letter From The Editor

Taos, Taos, Taos. It's all about Taos this month as La Cocinita packs up fork and knife to spend some time dining out in our northern nether-regions. For such a small town, Taos has an astonishingly high percentage of truly fantastic restaurants; in fact it's hard to have a bad meal there. From little coffee shops serving wild boar sausage breakfasts to intimate and romantic dinner destinations where just reading the wine list will curl your toes, we have researched (tough work, but someone's got to do it) organized and categorized a nowhere-near-complete guide to dining in this beautiful town. I hope it will prove useful to you as you race from film to film during the Taos Talking Pictures Festival and that you hold onto it for the months to come, using it again and again on subsequent visits.

Also, this month we introduce our new photographer, Singeli Agnew, whose luminous images capture perfectly the vibrancy that has made Taos a must-do destination for more than a century.

Dig in!
